Facilitymanagement

Facility management tasks

The life cycle of a property is divided into four phases. It begins with planning and project development followed by the realization of the construction project - the construction phase. The usage phase begins with the acceptance of the building and the handover of the building to the client or user. The total costs for maintenance and operation during the use phase exceed the construction costs many times over (see graphic). After the end of the building's life has been reached, the recycling phase follows, usually in the form of demolition and disposal.
